Dangerous Dog Policy
TurdBusters Dangerous Dog Policy: Keeping it Safe While Busting Turds
At TurdBusters, we love dogs—they’re the heart of our business and why we do what we do! Friendly pups make our days brighter, and we’re always excited to meet your furry family members. However, the safety of our technicians is a top priority, and we’ve put together a Dangerous Dog Policy to ensure every visit is safe, efficient, and stress-free for everyone involved.
Friendly Dogs: The Highlight of Our Day!
We know the joy of wagging tails and happy greetings, and our technicians always love interacting with well-mannered, friendly dogs. A kind pup can turn a regular workday into a great one! If your dog enjoys saying hello, we’re happy to offer a quick belly rub before we get to work (if they’re okay with it, of course).
Aggressive or Protective Dogs: Safety First
While we understand that some dogs may be protective of their territory or wary of strangers, our team must work in a safe environment to deliver the high-quality service you expect. Here’s how we handle situations involving aggressive or potentially dangerous dogs:
- Communication is Key:
- When you sign up for our service, we ask about your dog’s temperament.
- If your dog is known to be aggressive or overly protective, we’ll work with you to develop a plan that ensures everyone’s safety.
- “On-the-Way” Alerts:
- You’ll receive a notification via text or email before our technician arrives, giving you ample time to secure your dog.
- This ensures your pet is safely out of the work area before we begin.
- Secure Pets, Please:
- For the safety of both our team and your dog, aggressive dogs must be kept indoors or securely restrained during our visit.
- If our technician arrives and finds that an aggressive dog is loose in the garden, we won’t be able to perform the service. A rescheduling fee may apply.
- Signs of Aggression:
- Growling, snapping, lunging, or other behaviors that indicate fear or aggression will be taken seriously. Our technicians are trained to recognize these signs and will avoid putting themselves or your pet in a stressful situation.
Making It Easier for Your Dog
We know some dogs just need a little time to adjust to new people. If your dog is nervous or protective:
- Consider introducing them to us briefly during the first visit so they recognize our team in the future.
- Reward your dog with treats or praise after each service to help them associate our visits with positive experiences.
What Happens if a Dog is Aggressive?
If an aggressive dog prevents us from completing our work:
- Our technician will immediately leave the garden and notify you.
- We’ll contact you to discuss the situation and reschedule once the dog can be safely secured.
- After multiple incidents, we may have to reevaluate whether we can continue servicing your property.
Why This Policy Matters
We love what we do, but safety always comes first—for our technicians and your pets. Stressful encounters with aggressive dogs aren’t just dangerous; they can also upset your dog and create negative associations. By working together, we can keep every visit safe and enjoyable.
